Man always has this urge of being close to nature. This urge takes primacy while designing his home. Some people opt for a beautiful little flower patch, some a lawn with landscaping others go for green houses and some opt for a Pond. Pond designs include ones suited for Fish and others suited for water flowers like Lotus. General Pond designs vary in Western and Oriental Styles.
A pond makes your home a vacation site. Friends and family can sit around and enjoy the environment. The noise of flowing water, fish swimming in it makes your home a serene holidaying spot. Generally, Malaysians go for two types of Ponds – A Koi Fish Pond or a Fresh Water Natural Pond.
As is understandable to design a pond free land outside the home within the compound is required. Depending upon the amount of land available the ponds are planned. In addition, a sound pumping system is required. If it is a fish pond the pumping system has to really good otherwise the oxygen content of the water will be affected adding to Fish Mortality. This is also needed to get rid of the waste generated by the fish.
Koi Fish Pond: This type of Pond Design is quite popular with the Malaysians. This type of pond generally requires excavation of 3-4 feet deep and houses about 4000 litres of waters at a time. This water has to be changed periodically and therefore require high quality Pumping apparatus. In addition, it also requires a good filtration system to remove fish waste periodically.
Natural Pond: When the space is not enough to have Koi Fish ponds, people go for this kind of pond. The filtration system is not required but the pumping system is advised to keep the water mobile. Carpet Grass besides these Natural Ponds look quite classy.
